Strawberry & Carrot Smoothie

By Opal Tribble • May 22nd, 2007 • Category: Juicing & Smoothie Recipes, The Raw, What's Cooking/Uncooking?

CarrotsStrawberry & Carrot Smoothie
2 cups strawberries
2 carrots
3 large bok choy leaves
4 cups water

*You can always substitute fruit juice for the water or add a natural sweetener if you don’t think it will be sweet enough.

Directions
1. In a blender add water.
2. Add strawberries & carrots
3. Blend until processed
4. Add bok choy
5. Blend
6. Serve & Enjoy

I usually add ginger root or garlic to many of my smoothie & juicing recipes. They are natural energy enhancers but they are also an effective & natural way to boost your immune system.

I haven’t been sick in years. The times I have sick I’ve bounced back after a day or two. Of course if you are fueling your body with the wrong things don’t expect miraculous results.

*More on what are the “wrong things” in a later post.

  1. This sounds delish! What kind of blender do you have that processes those carrots though? Mine would burn out first! *chuckle*

  2. Hi Dana!
    It’s fabulous!

I use the VitaMix 3600. I bought it used off of ebay. I paid $151. That blasts through anything I toss at it.

  3. I was wondering too how you could really puree those carrots. My blender would hardly make a dent. lol

  4. Beth,
I highly recommend the Vita-Mix it takes a licking and keeps on ticking. Hee! Hee!
