Sinfully Delicious Chocolate Sauce, Raw Vegan
By Opal Tribble • Nov 15th, 2007 • Category: Raw Dessert, What's Cooking/Uncooking?
My daughter, Aiyana, was craving something sweet yesterday so I made chocolate sauce. I poured it over bananas and strawberries. The dessert was simple but I know it was sinfully delicious. I didn’t try it because I’m on my juice cleanse.

Raw Cocoa Nibs
Sinfully Delicious Chocolate Sauce
- 3/4 cup agave nectar
- 6 tbsps. raw cocoa nibs (ground)
Directions
- Mix the agave nectar and ground raw cocoa nibs in a blender
- Serve with strawberries or bananas
Results: My daughter loved this dish. I sprinkled freshly grated coconut over her banana split and added raw cashews. She said it was very yummy. She wants more of it today. This is an all raw dessert and the ingredients are natural. Agave nectar is a natural sweetener.

Sounds like a great dish! Coincidentally, I made some brownies last night with my daughters and got them to taste UNsweetened chocolate. I wish I had a camera to capture their expressions!
You keep this up and I might have to go back to my veggie eating habits.
Loving the new site design, BTW.
I’d love to implement this template, but I’m buried at the moment.
Pete,
I can imagine their looks. This is actually sweet. Agave nectar is actually sweeter than white sugar and it’s a healthier alternative.
Veggie habits can be a good thing even if you don’t turn vegetarian.
Thanks, I still have some kinks to work out with this theme but so far I’m enjoying it immensely.
Yum! Great idea for a vegan banana split. I want one of those right now too!
I’ll send one your way. My daughter loved it. It’s too bad this isn’t on my list. Oh well I’ll prepare it next week.
Actually it sounds really good. Here’s the rub, my wife is a great cook and would probably love something like this. Bit just the fact that it’s healthy would make her not make it. If she finds out somethings healthy she immediately doesn’t like it, even if she would have liked it if she didn’t know it was healthy. Maybe I’ll need to go pick up some raw cocoa nibs myself and suprise her with it.
i loove brownies and have tried like 15 different recipes. I will definately try this one this weekend. Some of my kid’s friends are coming over and I’ll let you know how it went! Thanks for the recipe.
Chris M.,
I dated a person that was like that. It’s amazing how some people associate “healthy” with tasting bad. It smells like chocolate although if you eat it in its raw form it will be bitter, lol.
Ahh she is one of “those people”.
mexican,
Let me know hoe you like it. You might need to add more sweetness to it. I would adjust to taste. I’ve made raw brownies before and I used the cocoa nibs. They were delicious.
Thats looks so delicious, to bad we did not have any of that good stuff around here this Thanksgiving!!
That does sound good. Who knew you could make a raw chocolate sauce. Where do you get your ideas for recipe’s? They are all so unique.
