Frozen Peach & Apple Sorbet

  • 4 ripe peaches cut (if organic do not peel the skins a lot of vitamins can be found in your peach skins keep them!)
  • 2 medium apples cut

*If the your peaches and apples are organic don’t peel the skins. You will find a lot of valuable nutrients in the skins. It’s good for you.

Directions

  1. Place fruit in a covered dish in freezer until frozen
  2. using a high powered food processor or blender blend fruit until smooth
  3. Enjoy your frozen dessert!

Although this dish is simple, it’s delicious and extremely good for you. I made this for my daughter’s breakfast today. She had a large bowl, and I was stuck with the leftovers, lol. I’m a firm believe in making quick and simple meals that are not only wholesome but good for you also.

In the future I’ll be adding nutritional information to the recipes I share. I’m currently checking out software so I can add the feature to the recipes that I post here on The Raw & The Cooked. If you have any suggestions please let me know. I’m on a Mac so the software has to be Mac compatible.

One appliance I use several times weekly is my food processor. I use the Kitchen Aid KFP750. I love Kitchen Aid’s appliances so naturally I hunted for one, in stainless steel a bout three years ago. I’ve used my Kitchen Aid KFP750 several times a week and it’s still running like new. If you want to see what type of appliances I use you can check out The Raw & The Cooked’s Kitchen Appliances page. At the moment I only have three items listed. These are the ones I use several times weekly. In time I will add more.

As my diet changed to an all raw diet and now mostly raw I’ve found that my food processor is something I have used a lot. It’s a lifesaver. Although my food processor was on the pricey side, you can purchase a food processor for a lot less and most likely achieve the same results. I mainly purchased mine for all the extras it comes with, and yes I use them all.

My brother will be in town this evening so I’ve decided to make another frozen dessert I’ll be doing something with bananas, coconut cream, and raw cocoa nibs. It should be heavenly! ;-)

  1. Oh that looks yummy.

  2. I am a great fan of peaches. This is a very delicious dessert indeed!

  3. Once again you remind me that simple is better!
I am trying to make eating healthier into rocket science, but you use simple, wholesome ingredients to get better nutrition and less trouble for the tummy with simple and whole foods. Thanks for the reminder. I will whip this up over the weekend. It looks rawsome!!!

  4. Chase,
I love peaches sadly we ran out of them yesterday! Bah!

    Shelia,
I think that is understandable. I know you aren’t the only one that tries to make healthy eating complicated. At times I hesitate to post my recipes because for the most part they are very simple, lol. I then remind myself that there are people that would prefer making a simple dish instead of a complicated dish.

  5. Oh, this looks tantalizing!

  6. teeni,
I thought about you when I posted this. I remembed you mentioned you had made a frozen smoothie with “nanners, raw cocoa nibs, and was it almond milk?
